InTrio: Stefano Curto – Rebecca Lewis – Massimiliano Pani

Rebecca Lewis Lalatta was born and raised in the United Kingdom; she studied flute and piano at the Royal College of Music in London and Psychology at the University of Edinburgh. Captivated by the island’s lifestyle, she moved to Sardinia in 1995, where she raised two children and worked in the education and hospitality sectors. Alongside her professional career, she has always nurtured a deep passion for horses and classical music. A talented flautist, she performs regularly with the Carabinieri Bands of Rome, Milan, and Naples. Her involvement in the equestrian world earned her the honor of meeting Queen Elizabeth II in 2012: for the Diamond Jubilee, she coordinated the participation of the Mounted Carabinieri Regiment in the renowned Royal Windsor Horse Show, taking part in a spectacular performance featuring 900 horses.

Massimiliano Pani is an internationally acclaimed Italian violinist. He began his training with Giorgio Oppo, continuing his studies at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia with Felix Ayo and at the Royal College of Music in London with Rodney Friend, before obtaining a Master’s Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under the guidance of Valery Oistrakh. Throughout his career, he has collaborated extensively with the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (from 1992 to 1999) and performed in prestigious international venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Konzerthaus in Berlin, and the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. He currently combines a chamber music performance career—with a particular focus on the violin and organ repertoire—with teaching Rhythmic Theory and Musical Perception at the “G.P. da Palestrina” Conservatory in Cagliari.

Stefano Curto is an Italian pianist with a solid international background. A graduate of the Cagliari Conservatory under the guidance of Arlette Eggmann Giangrandi, he furthered his study of the Vincenzo Scaramuzza technique in Rome with Mirta Herrera and attended the “F. Liszt” Academy in Budapest, honing his skills under masters such as Balázs Keckès, Ferenc Rados, and György Kurtág. As the only Italian selected for a prestigious Canadian government scholarship, he served as an artist-in-residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts, where he collaborated with the renowned violinist Zoltán Székely. His concert career has taken him—as both a soloist and chamber musician—to prestigious institutions and concert halls in Italy and abroad, including the Wiener Saal and Leopold Mozart Saal in Salzburg, the Kistérem Hall in Budapest, the Margaret Greenham Theatre and Roubakine Hall in Banff, the Teatro Lirico and Istituzione dei Concerti in Cagliari, the Ente Musicale di Nuoro, the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome, the Piano Musica Festival in Reggio Calabria, and the Alghero International Festival, among many other distinguished venues.
