Silvia Leggio

Silvia Leggio studied at the “V. Bellini” Music Conservatory in her hometown, graduating with top marks and honors. She further developed her technical and interpretive skills by attending masterclasses with György Sándor, Alexander Lonquich, Marian Mika, Anna Maria Cigoli, and Fausto Di Cesare.

She studied harmony and jazz improvisation at the Milan Civic Jazz Courses under Roberto Pronzato, Maurizio Franco, and Fabio Jeger. She also deepened her understanding of piano pedagogy
by taking courses with Maestro Annibale Rebaudengo. She holds degrees in harpsichord, clavichord, and fortepiano from the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan and has performed extensively as a harpsichordist—both as a soloist with orchestras and as a continuo player in chamber ensembles (including duos with flute or voice, and orchestral settings). Her repertoire encompasses a vast range of harpsichord literature, with a particular focus on 18th-century Italian music, as well as fortepiano literature spanning from the *galant* style to the Classical era.

She has attended advanced seminars with harpsichordists such as Clemencic (16th-century music), Dreifus (French music), and Fadini (D. Scarlatti’s sonatas). She holds a piano professorship at the “G. Verdi” Music Conservatory in Milan and has performed numerous concerts as both a soloist and a chamber musician. He has performed in Mexico, Egypt, Portugal, Switzerland, and Italy—appearing for organizations such as La Società dei Concerti (Milan), the Arts Academy (Rome), the “Sandro Fuga” Association (Turin), Amici della Musica (Palermo), Teatro Massimo (Palermo), ESTA Italia, the Accademia Filarmonica (Messina), and the Palermo Classica Festival, among other Italian musical institutions.

He conducts advanced piano masterclasses throughout Italy for major musical organizations, including Palermo Classica and the Musica nei Castelli festival. He serves as a Cultural Consultant for the Pensare Oltre Foundation, with which he has developed various artistic and educational initiatives—producing films and books, organizing conferences, and spearheading cultural projects of international significance.
